Head Coach, Arcadia University, Director of Goalie Development
April Pollock is entering her second season as head women’s lacrosse coach at Arcadia University for the 2016 campaign. Pollock arrives at Arcadia after eight seasons as the head women’s lacrosse coach at NCAA Division II American International College, where she amassed the most wins in program history. She guided the Yellow Jackets to a program record for wins in 2010, and coached the program’s first-ever IWLCA All-Region selection this past season. Pollock served as the assistant coach at NCAA Division III Springfield College in 2007, where she worked primarily with the goalies and defensive players, and oversaw the program’s recruiting and fundraising efforts. Pollock also organized and coached at the Pride’s Peak Performance Lacrosse Camp. Before her arrival at Springfield, Pollock was the assistant coach at Smith College from 2003-06. She coached the goalies and attack players and assisted in all other aspects of the Pioneers’ program. Pollock was a four-year starter in goal at the University of Connecticut, where she still holds the Huskies’ records for career goals against average (8.97), career save percentage (.558), career wins (26), saves in a season (195) and saves in a single game (20). She was named the team’s Defensive MVP in 2000 and 2003 and was selected to play in the Division I North-South Senior All-Star game in 2003. Pollock graduated from Connecticut in 2003 with bachelor degrees in political science and women’s studies. She completed her master’s degree in physical education at Springfield in May 2008 with a concentration in advanced-level coaching.
