Hannah Posencheg (2017) commits to Dickinson College

Congratulations to Blast 2017 Blue and Friends’ Central defender, Hannah Posencheg, on her verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Dickinson College!!

“In the recruiting process, I think its important to take your time and choose a school you would have picked regardless of whether you would have played lacrosse there or not. Although lacrosse will take up a lot of your time, you never know what could happen, and you’re better off loving the school as much as you love the lacrosse program.”

Hannah considered many different schools and lacrosse programs throughout her recruiting process as she and her twin sister, Hayden (Duquesne), visited colleges both together and separately.

“I chose Dickinson, not only because of its lacrosse program, but also for its amazing academic opportunities… like having 2/3’s of the junior class each year go abroad! I loved the culture of the team and the coaching staff, as well as the campus and the overall feeling of the school.”

In addition to being a starting member of the varsity girls’ lacrosse program (2014 PA Champs) and varsity soccer program, Hannah is also very involved in the Friends’ Central School community. She has volunteered over 40 hours of community service, is a Student Council member, a Sustainability Club member, Yearbook editor and helps to organize local blood drives!
