Former Player, Notre Dame
Heather Van Thuyne (Ferguson) played lacrosse at Archbishop Carroll High School where she was an All-American and went on to play Division I lacrosse the University of Notre Dame for four years. At Notre Dame, Heather played in a school record 70 games, making 39 starts. She finished her career with 57 goals, 35 assists, grabbed 65 ground balls, had 37 draw controls and forced 54 caused turnovers. She graduated in 2008 and went back to coach at Carroll, her alma mater, for two seasons. In 2010, Heather joined the Episcopal Academy program and served as the Assistant Varsity Lacrosse coach there for eight years. Prior to Philly Blast, Heather was a head coach for Phantastix lacrosse club. She loves coaching for Cradle Lacrosse through the year and is very active in the youth lacrosse community.
