Josie Tomaino

Philly Blast Co-Owner & Director Josie Tomaino takes a lead coaching role for multiple grad years throughout the club and also serves as the club’s primary recruiting coordinator. Josie is currently the head coach at Episcopal Academy (2014-present). In 2019, the team received highest national ranking in program history (#5 by Inside Lacrosse) and Josie was named US Lacrosse Eastern Pennsylvania Coach of the Year. Prior to coaching at EA, Josie served as the assistant coach at Villanova University for one season (2013). Josie graduated from Haverford College where she played midfield and was selected as an IWLCA All-American. Outside of coaching at Blast, Josie is the President of PASLA,  the Pennsylvania Area Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association which coordinates National Tournament & USL All-American Awards process for Philadelphia, as well as an Advisory Board Member for Harlem Lacrosse Philadelphia.
