Arianna Lavelle (2018) commits to Fairfield University

Congratulations to Philly Blast 2018 and Merion Mercy Academy attacker, Arianna Lavelle, on her verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Fairfield University!

Fairfield University is a co-educational private, Jesuit university located in Fairfield, Connecticut. As a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the “Stags” compete against Canisius, Iona, Manhattan, Marist, Monmouth, Niagara, Quinnipiac and Siena.

Arianna explains, “I chose to go to Fairfield because the first time I walked on campus I knew I could definitely see myself going there. It had everything I wanted in a college. I knew that Fairfield would challenge me both academically and athletically. The campus is beautiful and the lacrosse team really made me feel that this would be the place I could call home for the next four years of my life.”

Arianna has been a member of Philly Blast since the Fall of 2012. When asked what her favorite part of playing Philly Blast is, she answered, “Definitely my teammates! We have all grown so close throughout the years. I will always value the friendships I have made throughout my years in Philly Blast.”

In addition to playing Philly Blast Lacrosse, Arianna was also selected for the Brine National PA High School team. At Merion Mercy Academy, Arianna competes on the varsity lacrosse team as well as the varsity field hockey team!
