Caitlin Leap (2018) commits to Bloomsburg

Congratulations to Philly Blast 2018 and Perkiomen Valley attacker, Caitlin Leap, on her verbal commitment to play lacrosse at Bloomsburg University!

Bloomsburg is a public university located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. As a member of the NCAA Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), the “Huskies” compete against East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Millersville, Slippery Rock, West Chester, IUP, Seton Hill, Gannon, Lock Haven, Mercyhurst, Kutztown and Shippensburg.

Caitlin is the first Philly Blast player to verbally commit to playing Division II lacrosse. “I chose Bloomsburg for the great lacrosse program and the great academics. I feel as though I will be challenged to reach my highest potential on and off the field. I really fell in love with the campus and the coaching staff.”

Overall in the Class of 2018, Caitlin is the eighth Blast player to make her college decision. She advises younger uncommitted players to “be patient. Always keep your options open and your mind open! Don’t try to rush it because things will all work out in the end. Constantly do whatever you can control by emailing and showcase yourself. Just always be and play your best. If you have the opportunity, get on campus! It will really help with choosing where the best place for you is.”

Caitlin was also considering Erksine College and Stockton University. In addition to playing club lacrosse for Philly Blast, Caitlin also maintains honor roll status at Perkiomen Valley and competes on the varsity lacrosse team.
