Katie Sedlak (2017) commits to St. Bonaventure

Congratulations to Blast 2017 Blue and Conestoga attacker, Katie Sedlak, on her verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Bonaventure University.

St. Bonaventure University (SBU) is located in Western New York, just north of the Pennsylvania border and is well known for its journalism, business and education programs, having produced six Pulitzer Prize-winning writers.

“I chose St. Bonaventure University because I felt right at home as soon as I stepped on campus. I loved everything about the school including the degree program that they offer in my intended area of study (education). St. Bonaventure is a small school in a suburban setting which is exactly what I was looking for.”

Katie will be competing with the “Bonnies” in the Atlantic 10 conference, where she will face three of her Philly Blast 2017 Blue teammates during conference play: Allie Scannapieco (midfield, GW), Taylor Lucey (attack, VCU) and Hayden Posencheg (midfield, Duquesne). Katie is a Philly Blast “lifer” and has been a member of the club since its inception in 2011.

“My favorite part of playing Philly Blast Lacrosse is the camaraderie of the team and the fact that everybody can read each other on the field. We also have a lot of fun off the field. I also have to say that I love the Blast coaching staff.”
