Lexi Dechiario (2017) commits to RPI

Congratulations to Blast 2017 Blue and Conestoga defender, Lexi Dechiario, on her verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Located in Troy, NY, RPI is the nation’s oldest technological research university and boasts a highly ranked engineering program. Rensselaer is most well-known for its success in the transfer of technology from the laboratory to the marketplace so that new discoveries and inventions benefit human life, protect the environment, and strengthen economic development.

No stranger to academic rigor, Lexi is an AP student, a member of National Honor Society as well as Distinguished Honor Roll at Conestoga High School. Towards the end of her recruiting process, she was also considering Columbia, Tufts and F&M, but ultimately recognized RPI as the best match!

“RPI has a beautiful campus and many academic and research opportunities for its students. I loved everything about the school overall and Coach DeLano, the team, and the athletic facilities are amazing! It is the perfect fit of academics and lacrosse for me.”

Lexi has been a member of Philly Blast since the Fall of 2014 and plays on 2017 Blue. In addition to playing lacrosse, Lexi also practices Taekwondo (black belt)!
