The Class of 2016 is the first class to graduate from Philly Blast Lacrosse! Philly Blast started in the summer of 2011 and over the last six seasons, these fourteen players helped build the club to its current successful state. They are now college bound and eager to begin the next stage of their careers!

Quick facts for the Class of 2016

• Philly Blast’s inaugural team represented 11 different high school programs and will now attend 11 different colleges
• 12 players will attend college this fall (2016), 1 player will take a gap year to travel abroad and 1 player will complete at PG year in New England
• 3 will go on to play Division I Lacrosse, 3 will play Division III Lacrosse and 5 will play club Lacrosse

Maura Carey (Radnor ’16, Wagner ’20)

• Additional: Coach Rowan is going into her 2nd season – last year, she guided the team to their 1st NEC Championship

 

Amelia Carpenter (Lower Merion ’16, DAAP)

• College: The Design School at the Univeresity of Cinciniatti for Industrial Design (DAAP)
• Studying: Industrial Design
• Additional: Taking a gap year (2016-2017) to travel throughout Europe, Oceania and Asia and attend Outdoor Wilderness and Leadership School in Utah.
